2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Hymenoptera, produces an attractant pheronome in Apis; mandibular gland and Koshevnikov gland.

3. (Mollusca: Gastropoda) In Prosobranchia, cells in the mantle, foot and around the digestive tract.
