phthisergate (noun; Greek phthisis, decline; ergates, worker): (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Formicidae, an emaciated pharate adult worker due to parasitic feeding in the larval, prepupal or pharate adult stage by the larval ant chalcid wasp of the family Eucharitidae; an infra-ergatoid form.
