pallium (noun; Latin pallium, mantle): 1. The mantle of a bivalve Mollusca or a Brachiopoda.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) In certain Orthoptera (Caelifera), a membrane from the free margin of the subgenital plate covering the retracted phallus.
