meconida (noun, plural; singular meconidium; Greek mekon, poppy): 1. (Arthropoda: Insecta) Waste products of pupal metabolism that are discharged shortly after adult emergence.

2. (Cnidaria: Hydrozoa) Medusoid gonophores, sessile or pedicellate, which upon emergence from the gonangium act as external brood sacs.
