cremaster (noun; Greek kremastos, hung): (Arthropoda: Insecta) 1. The terminal abdominal segment of a pupa. 2. In a subterranean pupa, a terminal spine. 3. The hooked caudal extremity of the pupa that suspends the chrysalids.
