- Authoring versioned sources are going to continue gaining popularity
- Individual versions (and differences between them) can be clearly and publicly identified
- Consider the version as a "least publishable unit" and use it as a basis for scientometrics
- Over time, version histories of scientific documents make for great teaching tools in history of science, giving the proverbial giants the appropriate microattribution (especially if coupled to things like ORCID)
