taenidium (noun; plural -nidia; Latin diminutive taenia, band or ribbon): 1. (Arthropoda: Chelicerata) In Acari, a ribbon-like canal on the surface of the tegument.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) A circular or spiral chitinous thickening, strengthening the inner wall of the trachea.
