phallobase (noun; Greek phallos, penis; basis, bottom): (Arthropoda: Insecta) Proximal part of the phallus of males, a large basal structure supporting the aedeagus; a thecal fold or sheath around the aedeagus; basal phallic sclerites in the wall of the genital chamber.
