poison glands: 1. (Arthropoda: Insecta) a. In Apocritan Hymenoptera, modified accessory reproductive glands associated with the ovipositor or sting. b. In Lepidoptera larvae, epidermal glands associated with setae or spines.

2. (Mollusca: Cephalopoda) The posterior salivary glands.
