branchial glands: 1. (Arthropoda: Crustacea) Masses of connective-tissue cells, lacking ducts, that surround the venous channels in branchiae.

2. (Mollusca: Cephalopoda) Glands along the gill where they connect with the mantle; site of hemocyanin production.
