manubrium (noun; Latin manubrium, handle): 1. (Arthropoda: Crustacea) In fish parasitic Copepoda, the handle or distal part of the attachment organ.2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) The basal part of the furcula of collembolan springtails; part of the sternum associated with the cavity of the prothorax of Coleoptera.
3. (Cnidaria: Hydrozoa) The extension between the stomach cavity and the mouth of a medusae or polyp; also called gullet or esophagus.
