socii (noun, plural; singular -us; Latin socius, companion): (Arthropoda: Insecta) In male Lepidoptera, lightly sclerotized, paired, hairy pads on the caudal margin of the tegumen near the base of the uncus in the genitalia. For Odonata, see superior appendages.
