pre-fibers (noun; Latin prae, before; fibra, fiber): (Arthropoda: Crustacea) In Decapoda, 4 giant nerve fibers in crayfish, 2 median making snaptic contact with the brain and with fibers from the anterior sense organs; 2 lateral ones are products of the fusion of many cells
