parameres (noun, plural; Greek para, beside; meros, part): 1. The right or left halves of a bilaterally symmetrical animal.
2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) The outer pair of phallomeres that develop into male copulatory appendages; sometimes synonymized with gonopophyses.
3. (Echinodermata) The perradius with half of interradius on either side.
