nodus (noun; Latin nodus, knob): (Arthropoda: Insecta) 1. In Hymenoptera Ichneumonidae, a dorsal prominence on the tip of the ovipositor, shortly before the apex. 2. In Odonata, a strong cross vein near the middle of the costal border of the wing.
