hamulohalterae (noun, plural; Latin hamulus, little hook; Greek halter, balancer): (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Homoptera, giant mealybug halters developed from the metathoracic wing-buds furnished with one or more hooklets that engage in a basal pocket of the corresponding fore wing.
