epimere (noun; Greek epi, upon; meros, part): 1. (Arthropoda: Crustacea) A dorsolateral, flat overhanging keel on the somites which may form a carapace, flattened shield or clam-shell valves.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Lepidoptera, a dorsal process of the phallobase.
