deutocerebrum (noun; Greek deuteros, second; Latin cerebrum, brain): (Arthropoda) The median region of a brain which receives the antennal nerves (first antennae in crustaceans, see mesocerebrum) and contains their association centers; lacking in chelicerates (scorpions, spiders and mites).
