ciliated groove: 1. (Echiura) A ciliated channel along the ventral surface of the mid-intestine to the precloacal caecum; occasionally forming a ridge and closely associated with the siphon.

2. (Sipuncula) A ciliated channel along the ventral surface of the intestine from anterior region of the pharynx (esophagus) to the rectum.
