Tyndall colors also Tyndall scattering: (Arthropoda: Insecta) Color of certain insects resulting from interference of light reflected by granules cast upon an absorbing layer of dark pigment beneath a more or less transparent cuticle; producing blue, green or white, depending upon the size of granules.
