Type locality

Russia, the Altai Republic: Kosh- Agachskii District, 40 km NW of Kosh-Agach Vill., larch forest situated near a river channel

Diagnosis and discussion

Trichosiopsis angustistylus is a quite small species and was compared to Trichosiopsis ulagana for having a tapered gonostylus. The pale hairs on the body are shared with Trichosiopsis hispida, which has no awl like setae deep below the apical tooth as for example.Trichosiopsis ignis.

Etymology

lat. angustus = narrow. The name is referring to the slender gonostylus.
