Description

Rostroth, Kehle, Fresszangen und Beine rostgelb; die Fuehler lang mit 43 bis 48 Gliedern, Kopf, Fresszangen und die vordem Rueckenschilde weitschichtig eingestochen punktirt, die Rueckenschilde runzelig, die Endschilde mit kleinen spitzen Hoeckerchen bestreut; die vier hintern Zwischenschilde an den Hinterrandwinkeln zahnartig spitzig, die Winkel des vierten Zwischenschildes merklicher verlaengert. Das Schenkelglied der Hinterheine beim Weibe an der Spitze kolbig verdickt, beim Manne nicht dicker als die folgenden walzenfoermigen Glieder. Laenge 13 bis 15 Linien.

Discussion

Die bis jetzt bekannten Lithobien sind lauter Europaeer, die gegenwaertige Art also die einzige, welche bis jetzt in einem andern Welttheile entdeckt worden ist. Sie kommt an der ganzen Kueste der Regentschaft Algier vor.
