Remarks
This species was redescribed by Matsumura et al. (2011)[1] who presumed Cirsium japonicum DC and Lema suffultum Matsum. (Asteraceae) to be its host plants. Here Cirsium japonicum (Figs 47–48) is confirmed as a host plant by field observations and laboratory rearing.

Europe, China, Mongolia, Korea, Taiwan (new record), Japan.
