Remarks
Hagnagora marionae was described and illustrated by Brehm and Sullivan (2005)[1].
Distribution
The species has been collected only at two high mountain areas in Costa Rica at elevations > 2500 m a.s.l.
Diagnosis
The species resembles the other species of the Hagnagora anicata clade, but is easily distinguished by large orange-yellow blotches on the forewing. Males have a spatula-shaped uncus. COI barcode: The minimum observed distance to the presumably most closely related species (Hagnagora richardi) is 6.6%.
