Name

Elampus albipennis (Mocsáry, 1889) – Wikispecies link – Pensoft Profile

Nan Chan: route de Kan Tchéou à Lan Tchéou par Si Ning; col de King Yang Ling, par 3,800 mètres d’altitude”, tax.) [misid.].
  • Notozus albipennis: Tsuneki 1953a[3]: 54 (Manchuria: Kaiyüan, Kupeikau, tax.).
  • Omalus (Notozus) albipennis: Linsenmaier 1959[4]: 16 (key), 24 (tax., cat., distr.).
  • Elampus albipennis: Kimsey and Bohart 1991[5]: 166 (cat.).

Distribution

China (Liaoning, Beijing). Widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region (Tsuneki 1953a[3]; Linsenmaier 1959[4]). The Chinese specimen is not listed in the distribution by Kimsey and Bohart (1991)[5].

Remarks

The record of Notozus violascens Mocsáry by du Buysson (1911)[2] is a misidentification: the reduced dimension and the green colour reported by the author match other species: Elampus albipennis Mocsáry, Elampus mocsaryi (Radoszkowski) and Elampus turcmenicus (Linsenmaier). Without examining the specimens it is not possible to correctly identify them.
Linsenmaier (1959)[4] placed Elampus tournieri Dalla Torre, 1892 (repl. name for Elampus viridis Tournier, 1890) as synonym of Elampus albipennis (Mocsáry).
