Description
Small; slender; elongate; subdepressed; dark chestnut brown; elytra with ivory white vitta from humeri to apical ¼ between puncture rows 2–5; basal 5 antennomeres reddish-black, rest black; legs reddish. Head: vertex deeply punctate, with medial carina; frons not projecting; slightly depressed between eyes. Antenna: reaches beyond humerus; slender; antennomere 1 subincrassate, 2× length of 2; 2 subglobose; 3 cylindrical, elongate, subequal in length to 2; 4 cylindrical, elongate, 1½ length of 3; 5–10 elongate, decreasing in length; 11 longer than 10, rounded at apex; 1–3 punctate; 4–11 setose. Pronotum: quadrate; lateral margin straight then rounding to anterior angle, margined; anterior angle rounded; posterior angle acute; anterior margin straight; basal margin biangulate; disc moderately convex; surface moderately densely punctate; basal impression absent; pronotal length 0.9 mm; pronotal width 1.0 mm. Scutellum: pentagonal; impunctate. Elytron: lateral margin straight, smooth, converging toward apex; apex truncate; sutural angle with small tooth; humerus slightly angulate; moderately punctate-striate; elytral length 3.3 mm; elytral width 1.2 mm. Diagnosis
This species is similar to Cephaloleia formosus and Cephaloleia vagelineata. It can be distinguished by the smooth lateral margins of the pronotum.
