pseudopod also pseudopodium (noun; plural -dia; Greek pseudos, false; pous, foot): 1. Temporary protrusion of the cell, associated with flowing movement of protoplasm, functioning in locomotion and feeding.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) An outgrowth or foot-like appendage of the larval body, assisting in locomotion
