coxopleurite (noun; Latin coxa, hip; Greek pleura, side): (Arthropoda: Insecta) A sclerite of the thoracic pleuron, that articulates with the dorsal margin of the coxa; in lower pteryotic orders forms the trochantin and a ventral articulation with the coxa.
