suspensor (noun; Latin sub, under; pendere, hang): 1. (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Hymenoptera, a structure composed of carton or wax attaching the comb nests of bees and wasps.

2. (NEMATA: Adenophorea) Muscles associated with the spicules, enclosing the distal part of the spicules of Paratrichodorus and other males in Diphtherophorina.
