2. A constriction of the mouth of an organ.
3. (Arthropoda: Chelicerata) In Acariformes, the dorsal part of the infracapitulum, between the line of attachment of the cheliceral frame and the base of the labrum, and laterally by the lateral ridges, and encompasses the capitular saddle and cheliceral grooves.
