meniscoidal (adjective; Greek meniskos, a crescent): 1. Crescent-shaped lens; concavo-convex lens; one side convex and the other concave.

2. With one side concave, crescent shape of water in a tube, or convex, crescent-shaped as with mercury in a tube.
