tibia (noun; plural -iae; Latin tibia, shin): 1. (Arthropoda: Chelicerata) The fifth segment of a spider leg, between the patella and metatarsus.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) The fourth segment of the leg, between the femur and tarsus.
