parietal (adjective; Latin paries, wall): 1. (Arthropoda: Crustacea) Of or pertaining to paries.

2. (Arthropoda: Insecta) Referring to the dorsal sclerites of the cranium, between the frontal and occipital areas; the adfrontal area or plate.

3. (Mollusca: Gastropoda) Pertaining to the inside wall of a univalve within the aperture, the broader upper part of the inner lip.
