denticles (noun, plural; Latin denticulus, little tooth): 1. Small, tooth-like projections.

2. (Arthropoda: Crustacea) In cirripeds, toothlet on the sutural edge of the radius of the compartment plate, or opposed buttress of adjoining plate.

3. (Annelida: Polychaeta) The paragnaths.
