laticorn trumpet also angusticorn trumpet: (Arthropoda: Insecta) In Diptera, a respiratory structure of mosquito pupae bearing the longest axis transverse to the stem, frequently with a secondary cleft in the pinna opposite the meatal cleft, less wide-mouthed than the angusticorn type, but with an elaborate lobe (tragus) on the rim of the pinna.
