pinnules (noun, plural; Latin diminutive pinna, feather): 1. (Annelida: Polychaeta) The lessened lateral paddle-like parapodia.

2. (Echinodermata: Crinoidea) Short tapering, flexible lateral projections or branches on either side of the arms.
