ophiopluteus (noun; Greek ophis, serpent; pluteus, shed): (Echinodermata: Ophiuroidea) Brood larva of Phrynophiurida, with arms edged with cilia, that metamorphose into adults after escape from the bursa through the bursal slits or rupture of the aboral disk.
