hemiphragms (noun, plural; Greek hemisys, half; phragma, wall): (Bryozoa: Stenolaemata) Shelf-like skeletal projections into the zooid living chamber alternating from opposite sides of the zooecia; hemiphragms in any single zooid usually comparable in morphology
