Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) images can be used just like images uploaded to the local shared media repository (see OpenMedia, which is reached when clicking on Upload in the sidebar left). Use the normal wiki syntax, embedding the image name (as uploaded) in double brackets. You can use the normal parameters (e.g., thumb, left, upright, etc., plus a caption after the last vertical bar).
