Diagnosis
The subspecies is distinguished from Trichosiopsis palatina palatina mainly by its DNA barcode. The presence of currently only one single male specimen in not perfect condition does not facilitate the morphological distinction of both subspecies. Tr. palatina elhoudae only appears to be somewhat larger and the legs are brighter than in the nominotypical subspecies.

Etymology
The species epithet is dedicated to the collector of the material, Nour El Houda El Ouazzani for her important contributions to the study of Moroccan Sciaridae.
