Type material

Syntypes 3 ♂♂ 03.07.1964 and 8 ♂♂ 07.07.1964, in ITSB

Type locality

Romania, Călugăreni, district Ilfov

Discussion

The species has not yet been revised, but an assignment to the genus Trichosiopsis is certain. The type material is probably lost, but the small species might be recognizable based on the description and the figures. The comparison with Leptospina atricha by Hondru is misleading. Mohrig & Menzel (1997)[2] compare Tr. longistilis with Trichosiopsis juniperi.

Etymology

lat. longus = long. The name refers to the elongate gonostylus.
