Discussion

Trichosiopsis hispida sellrain is apparently a High Alpine variant of the common, nominotypical lowland subspecies. This finding underlines the still underestimated – cryptic and non-cryptic – diversity of Sciaridae in Alpine environment.

Distribution

Austria.
