Trichosiopsis finjae suzyae
Ordo: Diptera
Familia: Sciaridae
Genus: Trichosiopsis
Species: Trichosiopsis finjae
Name
Trichosiopsis finjae suzyae unpublished
Type material
Holotype: ♂, 08.05.2008, sweep netting, leg. Shin, GBMIN12779-13 in SNUM
Type locality
Korea, Jeju, Seoguipo-si, Seoguipo Natural Recreation Forest
Diagnosis
The subspecies is characterized by its COI sequence. Morphologically, the gonostylus of Tr. finjae suzyae agrees well with that of the other subspecies, only the setae at the base of the gonocoxites appear to be less strong than in the European specimens. A more detailed description can be found in Shin (2013[1]: 90–91).
DNA Barcoding
The COI sequence is assigned to BIN BOLD:ACD6178 (n=1, K2P: 5.62%).
Etymology
The subspecies is named after the Suzy, daughter of the diperist Seunggwan Shin, Memphis (USA).
Discussion
The genetic distance between Tr. finjae suzyae and the other two subspecies is higher than 5% and it might in the future regarded to be a distinct species. Because at the moment only the figured holotype and the COI sequence were re-studied, it is only described at subspecific rank. The holotype specimen was previously incorrectly identified as Leptosciarella rejecta"[2]"[1].
Distribution
Korea.
