Diagnosis

The subspecies is characterized by its COI sequence.

DNA Barcoding

The COI sequences are assigned to three different BINs:

Discussion

Although two other subspecies have already been distinguished from Tr. coarctata coarctata, the remaining specimens still represent three different BINs. As only specimens of BIN ADA9417 were studied, no further splitting is undertaken and probably also not reasonable, because the K2P distances of the other two (alpine) BINs are below 2%.

Distribution

Germany[1], Switzerland

Note

The record from Switzerland is based on the distribution of the BIN BOLD:ACS9404 on BOLD.
