Natural history
In Saskatchewan, one male was captured in horse manure. Elsewhere, adults were collected from decaying organic matter, fungi, animal droppings, human feces, and carrion (Klimaszewski et al. 2002[2]). Larvae are parasitic on fly pupae (Klimaszewski et al. 2002[2]). The adults were collected from June to September.
