Description

Description. Male (Fig. 2 C). Head black, mandibles dark brown, maxilla, labium and gula yellow, darkened at maxillary and labial palpi, antennae black, prothorax yellow, pronotum with a large black marking in center of disc, scutellum yellow, elytra black, legs black, yellow at coxae, trochanters and bases of femora, meso- and metasterna and abdomen yellow. Body densely covered with recumbent dark brown pubescence, mixed with slightly long semierect pubescence on elytra and a few long hairs along anterior margin of clypeus. Head rounded, surface densely and finely punctate, lustrous; eyes moderately protruding, head breadth across eyes slightly wider than anterior margin of pronotum; terminal maxillary palpomeres widest nearly in middle, arcuate and sharp at apical halves of inner margins, rounded at apices; antennae almost extending to elytral midlength, antennomeres II about 3 times as long as wide at apices, III slightly shorter than II, IV about twice as long as III, V‒XI each with a small round to narrow short longitudinal impression near middle of outer margin, XI slightly shorter than X and pointed at apices. Pronotum subquadrate, about 1.10 times as wide as long, anterior margin arcuate, lateral margins slightly sinuate, posterior margin arcuate and narrowly bordered, anterior and posterior angles nearly rectangular, disc moderately convex at posterolateral parts, surface punctate like that on head, lustrous. Elytra about 5.0 times longer than pronotum, 3.1 times longer than humeral width, lateral margins nearly parallel, disc coarsely and densely punctate, matt.

Aedeagus (Figs. 4 D‒F): ventral process of each paramere abruptly widened near base, with apex rounded on dorsal side and largely hooked on ventral side in lateral view; conjoint dorsal plate of parameres distinctly shorter than ventral processes, abruptly narrowed apically and distinctly narrower than distance between the ventral processes, deeply emarginated in middle of apical margin; laterophyses flattened and adhered to dorsal side of median lobe, with inner margins unevenly diverging apically, outer apical angles narrowly triangular. Female (Fig. 2 D). Similar to male, but antenna narrower and shorter, extending to basal two-fifth length of elytra, antennomeres V‒XI without impressions; pronotum about 1.14 times as wide as long, lateral margins nearly parallel, disc slightly convex at posterolateral parts; elytra with lateral margins slightly diverging posteriorly. Abdominal sternite VIII (Fig. 5 D) subtriangularly emarginated in middle of posterior margin, which is rounded at apex of lateral portion beside middle emargination. Internal reproductive organ of genitalia (Fig. 9): vagina stout, with diverticulum and spermatheca situated at apex, median oviduct in middle of ventral side; diverticulum sacshaped, stout and rounded at apex; spermatheca long tube-shaped, slightly narrowed apically and cusped at apex, which is much longer than diverticulum, and provided with a moderately long and thin accessory gland near base; diverticulum and spermatheca surrounded with a strongly sclerotized ring at base, which is confluent in middle and extending to median oviduct on ventral side, the opening of spermatheca arising from middle of the sclerotized ring on dorsal side. Body length: 13.5 ‒19.0 mm; width: 3.0‒ 5.5 mm.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis. This species is similar to T. (H.) licenti Pic, 1938 (Fig. 1 C), but can be distinguished from the latter by the legs yellow at bases of femora; aedeagus: conjoint dorsal plate of parameres abruptly narrowed apically; abdominal sternite VIII of female with posterior margin rounded at apex of lateral portion beside middle emargination; female genitalia: diverticulum sac-shaped and rounded at apex, spermatheca moderately long tubeshaped, accessory gland moderately long.

Etymology

Etymology. This specific name is derived from the Latin mima (imitate), referring to its similarity to T. (H.) licenti Pic, 1938.
