Corrections to NZIB
- only Athor, Baeosomus and Myrtonymus belong to Brachyceridae (i.e., have primitive type male genitalia)
- none of these 3 genera should have been underlined as endemic to New Zealand, as they each occur also in Australia (not necessarily with described species)
- all other genera listed above were placed into other curculionid (s.str.) groups (mostly to tribe Storeini, but with some to tribe Eugnomini) by [Kuschel] in Leschen et al. (2003)
Changes to NZIB
- the classification of Curculionoidea is in a state of flux, but it is perhaps more sensible now to follow Bouchard et al. (2011), whereby Erirhininae and Raymondionyminae are treated as subfamilies of Brachyceridae
