Collection and habitat data
Scaphisoma convexum was reported from a variety of Agaricales and Polyporales fungi in the Ozark Highland and was reared from the polypore Tyromyces (Leschen et al. 1990). In New Brunswick, this species was collected from gilled mushrooms and from stalked polypore mushrooms on the forest floor. Adults were found in hardwood forests. One individual was captured in a Lindgren funnel trap in an old-growth white spruce and balsam fir forest. This species was collected during June, July, and September.
