Name
Platycephala rugosa Fallen, 1820 – Wikispecies link – Pensoft Profile
- Platycephala rugosa Deeming, John C., 2018, Zootaxa 4482: 31-31.
Description
There being 28 known species of Platycephala and eleven of Eurina, it would mean examining all of them prior to erecting a new genus to accommodate those species which prove to be monoovariolate. Being unable to secure the necessary material, I can only comment on a part of them. These monoovariolate species, unlike Sabeurina, have the mesolobus haired and the surstylus articulated from the epandrium.
