Diagnosis
Parasyscia workers can be identified by the following combination of characters: 1) propodeal spiracle positioned low on the sclerite and propodeal lobes present; 2) presence of a constriction between abdominal segments III and IV; 3) petiole dorsolaterally not marginate; 4) constriction between abdominal segments IV, V, and VI not present; 5) pronotomesopleural suture fused; 6) helcium axial; 7) middle tibiae with a single pectinate spur; 8) pretarsal claws unarmed; 9) abdominal segment III anterodorsally often marginate (Borowiec 2016[3]).
